About Star Telecom

Star Telecom is a Canadian provider of SIP based telecommunications services and solutions such as SIP Trunking, SIP Toll Free, SIP Long Distance and SIP DID – for contact centers and enterprises. We focus on the contact center and collections vertical and cater to complex telecommunications needs of the BPO ecosystem.

Star Telecom was founded in 2008 by a team with extensive experience in voice, telecommunications and contact centers. The team identified a need in the Canadian marketplace to better service contact centers’ telecommunications needs, which are not serviced adequately by the incumbent carriers. In addition to providing SIP based telecommunications services, Star Telecom also provides SIP based telecommunications solutions through a suite of value-add services targeted at contact center needs. These include Network Call Recording, Network Call Queuing, Portal for real time management of Toll Free and DID routing, as well as other services and customized solutions.

Why Star Telecom?

Most traditional Canadian carriers have been slow to adopt new technologies and services, and have generally focused on revenue preservation by retaining legacy infrastructure for as long as possible to keep their rates inflated. This is due to lack of competition and de facto monopolies in certain areas of telecommunications. We strive to break this deadlock by coalescing products and services from multiple providers, or by creating new products and services, tailored to YOUR needs, not carriers'. We also strive to provide additional value-add services, such as those described above to help our clients gain an edge in an extremely competitive BPO marketplace.

Our focus and expertise in contact center technology and operational management enable us not only to provide telecommunications services that are tailored to contact center environment, but to also provide solutions which reduce cost and improve operational efficiencies in the contact center.

Our facilities are located in secure, world-class telecommunications data centers at 151 Front Street West, Toronto, Canada and 100 William Street, New York, USA.
